Abstract:The rapid advancement of AI-driven video generation has transformed content creation, while simultaneously increasing the risk of misinformation through localized manipulations in long-form videos. Existing video forensic methods predominantly operate on short, independent clips, and thus fail to capture realistic scenarios where AI-generated content is sparsely embedded within otherwise authentic footage. To bridge this gap, we formulate the task of Temporal AI-Generated Segment Localization and Explanation, which targets authenticity detection, temporal localization, and interpretable analysis of manipulated segments in untrimmed long videos. We further introduce TASLE, a large-scale benchmark comprising 12,472 untrimmed videos with diverse manipulation patterns and rich annotation signals, including temporal boundaries, authenticity labels, and segment-level rationales. In addition, we propose MSLoc, a coarse-to-fine forensic baseline that combines a boundary-sensitive proposal generation module for efficient long-video scanning with an MLLM-based refinement module for precise boundary localization and interpretable reasoning. Experiments validate the effectiveness of the proposed baseline, highlighting the importance of segment-level explainable forensics for long-form AI-generated video analysis. Abstract:Superimposed pilot (SIP) transmission improves spectral efficiency by eliminating the dedicated pilot overhead required in orthogonal pilot (OP)-based schemes. However, SIP suffers from severe pilot-data coupling, which leads to a critical performance-complexity bottleneck at the receiver. To address this issue, this paper proposes a low-overhead transmission framework that revitalizes data-dependent superimposed training (DDST) with enhanced interference mitigation strategies. First, for quasi-static block-fading channels, an enhanced DDST receiver is developed to achieve non-iterative pilot-data decoupling by exploiting data-dependent algebraic structures. Second, to overcome the sensitivity of conventional DDST to channel variations and symbol misidentification in fast time-varying environments, a mix transmission scheme is developed. By strategically applying DDST to a subset of resource elements, the proposed scheme combines the interference-free transmission property of OP with the zero-pilot-overhead advantage of SIP, thereby improving demapping reliability and interference suppression. Furthermore, under the proposed mix scheme, a Vision Transformer-based neural receiver is designed to capture the orthogonal structure between pilots and perturbation-bearing data, as well as the underlying channel correlations, thereby relaxing the stringent quasi-static assumption required for interference disentanglement. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed framework achieves significant performance gains in the low-to-medium SNR regime under time-varying channels while providing superior computational efficiency compared with state-of-the-art SIP receivers.
Abstract:User localization and beam management are tightly linked in extremely large-scale multiple-input multiple-output (XL-MIMO) systems, especially in dense low-altitude economy (LAE) scenarios. However, the near-field propagation in XL-MIMO introduces strong distance sensitivity and complex spatial coupling, which makes joint trajectory and beam prediction challenging. Meanwhile, large language models (LLMs) have attracted attention in physical-layer transmission for modeling long-range dependencies. In this paper, we propose NF-TrackLLM, a multi-modal semantic-aware framework for near-field unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) positioning and beam prediction in XL-MIMO systems. By incorporating visual and LiDAR sensing into a Sionna-based channel generation pipeline, environmental semantics and GPS are utilized to guide trajectory and beam prediction. Built upon the aligned multi-modal representation, a GPT-2-based spatiotemporal reasoning backbone, and a cascaded prediction strategy are employed, where future trajectories are first inferred and then used to guide beam prediction as geometric priors. Simulation results demonstrate that NF-TrackLLM achieves accurate beam prediction and reliable UAV trajectory tracking in dense urban low-altitude scenarios.
Abstract:Electrocardiography (ECG) is central to cardiovascular care, but conventional AI models are often restricted to common arrhythmias and may generalize poorly across populations or clinically subtle diseases. We developed ECG Contrastive Language-Image Pre-training (ECGCLIP), a signal-language contrastive learning framework that aligns ECG waveforms with expert diagnostic reports. ECGCLIP was pre-trained on 2,837,962 ECG studies from 1,324,856 patients and evaluated on a held-out internal test set plus nine independent external cohorts comprising about 1.5 million ECGs. Evaluation covered 89 downstream tasks, including 45 ECG diagnoses, 39 echocardiographic targets, and 5 rare cardiac diseases, using PRAUC as the primary metric. ECGCLIP consistently improved performance over random initialization and Merl-R18 baselines. On the internal test set, ECGCLIP-R34 achieved strong performance for atrial fibrillation (PRAUC 0.900) and ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (PRAUC 0.383), with robust generalization across all external cohorts. It also improved low-prevalence and diagnostically elusive diseases, including Ebstein anomaly, constrictive pericarditis, dextrocardia, and cardiac amyloidosis, with internal PRAUC values of 0.253, 0.175, 0.121, and 0.201, respectively. ECGCLIP was data efficient, matching or exceeding full-dataset baseline performance with only 10% of training data. Feature visualization and saliency analysis suggested clinically meaningful representations aligned with established electrocardiographic criteria. These findings indicate that large-scale ECG-report contrastive pre-training can expand routine ECG interpretation beyond common arrhythmias toward broad cardiovascular assessment and opportunistic screening of echocardiographic and rare conditions.
Abstract:Digital twins (DTs) are promising for wireless deployment, optimization, and data generation, but building a propagation-faithful twin from sparse real measurements remains difficult. This paper proposes a wireless environment digital twin (WEDT) construction paradigm that evolves a reconstructed geometric DT into a propagation-consistent wireless environment representation through calibration of a scene-level electromagnetic (EM) property field. Instead of directly fitting link-specific channel responses, the proposed paradigm first constructs a geometry-prior Bayesian channel map (BCM) to convert sparse position-labeled channel state information (CSI) into dense probabilistic supervision with uncertainty estimates. It then embeds the learnable EM property field into differentiable ray tracing (RT) based channel computation, thereby enabling calibration through an explicit propagation chain. Experiments in both public and real-world scenes show that WEDT achieves accurate channel prediction, generalizes to unseen transceiver topologies, and remains effective across different sampling conditions. WEDT also offers utility for material-related environment sensing, more reliable physical-layer planning, and higher-quality synthetic data generation for wireless AI. These results demonstrate the value of the proposed paradigm for propagation-consistent WEDT construction and related wireless applications.
Abstract:Since the beam squint and near-field effects both inherently exist in upper-6 GHz (U6G) extremely large-scale multiple-input multiple-output (XL-MIMO) systems, wideband near-field channel estimation faces severe challenges, such as higher computational complexity, and higher pilot overhead particularly at hybrid architectures with fewer radio frequency (RF) chains. To precisely reduce the complexity and number of pilots, the parametric symmetry of wideband near-field channels is explored, such that the channel parameters, including angle, distance, and range, can be decoupled based on the delay variations observed by different antennas. Based on this, a distributed parametric symmetry-based (DPS) algorithm, applicable to U6G XL-MIMO, is proposed. The delays observed by different subarrays are estimated and extrapolated across the local processing units (LPUs) firstly, and then, the channel parameters are decoupled and estimated at the central processing unit (CPU), by only linearly combining the delays from different LPUs. The path gains are calculated at different LPUs, respectively, to reconstruct the channel with low complexity. Since the proposed algorithm does not rely on scanning the polar-domain dictionary, only a single pilot is required even with hybrid architectures. Furthermore, the computational complexity, multiple-path resolution, Cramer-Rao lower bound (CRLB) and lower bound (LB) of the estimates in hybrid architectures and the DPS algorithm, respectively, are analyzed, to evaluate the realizable potential of the proposed algorithm. The simulation results prove that the proposed algorithm has a higher estimation accuracy, while requiring less complexity and pilots.
Abstract:High-fidelity street scene reconstruction is pivotal for end-to-end autonomous driving simulation, where novel-view synthesis (NVS) and time-varying information modeling are two fundamental capabilities to facilitate closed-loop training. However, existing 3DGS methods and their 4D extensions fail to simultaneously achieve both. To bridge this gap, we establish an information-geometric diagnostic framework, revealing that this limitation stems from a credit assignment dilemma between spatial and temporal parameters. Specifically, the deterministic coupling between viewpoint and time in single-source observation creates a low-rank structure that induces massive null-space ambiguity between static view-dependent and dynamic time-varying components. Temporal information overshadows spatial cues, causing the estimation variance of spatial parameters to diverge. To address this issue, we propose Orthogonal Projected Gradient (OPG), a hierarchical training method designed to restore spatial identifiability. OPG prioritizes the integrity of spatial representations by securing them in an initial stage, then restricts temporal updates to the spatial null space, enabling proactive credit assignment. While OPG isolates temporal updates algebraically, Temporal Regularization Strategy is proposed to further refine the temporal solution space by imposing a smoothness constraint based on the physical prior of consistent appearance evolution, ensuring that the reconstructed scene remains physically consistent in closed-loop simulation. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method not only maintains stable NVS capabilities but also demonstrates superior performance in traditional observation-reproducing metrics, which indirectly reflect the capability of modeling temporal dynamics.
Abstract:Visual image reconstruction from functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) is a fundamental task in brain decoding, providing a crucial pathway for understanding human perceptual mechanisms and developing advanced brain-computer interfaces (BCIs). However, most current methods simply flatten fMRI signals from localized visual cortices into one-dimensional (1D) vectors, mapping them directly into latent spaces such as that of Contrastive Language-Image Pre-training (CLIP). This paradigm not only disrupts the inherent network topology of the brain-leading to limited neuroscientific interpretability-but also overlooks the synergistic contributions of other distributed functional networks in processing high-level visual semantics. To address these limitations, we propose FPED, a Functional-Network Prior-Guided Mixture of Experts (MoE) framework for interpretable brain decoding. FPED explicitly models different functional brain networks as specialized experts and employs adaptive routing to capture their complementary contributions to visual semantic understanding. Unlike conventional homogeneous decoding paradigms, our framework incorporates neurobiologically grounded priors to enable structured and interpretable network-level representation learning. Experimental results demonstrate that FPED achieves highly competitive semantic reconstruction performance with only 0.68B parameters. The learned routing dynamics reveal biologically meaningful correspondence between functional brain networks and modality-specific semantic processing, providing transparent neuroscientific interpretability. This suggests that brain network-aware expert modeling is a promising direction for bridging neural decoding and biologically inspired artificial intelligence.
Abstract:Diffusion-based imitation learning has shown strong promise for robot manipulation. However, most existing policies condition only on the current observation or a short window of recent observations, limiting their ability to resolve history-dependent ambiguities in long-horizon tasks. To address this, we introduce DSSP, a history-conditioned Diffusion State Space Policy that enables efficient, full-history conditioning for robot manipulation. Leveraging the continuous sequence modeling properties of State Space Models (SSMs), our history encoder effectively compresses the entire observation stream into a compact context representation. To ensure this context preserves critical information regarding future state evolution, the encoder is optimized with a dynamics-aware auxiliary training objective. This high-level context representation is then seamlessly fused with recent state observations to form a hierarchical conditioning mechanism for action generation. Furthermore, to maintain architectural consistency and minimize GPU memory overhead, we also instantiate the diffusion backbone itself using an SSM. Extensive experiments across simulation benchmarks and real-world manipulation tasks show that DSSP achieves state-of-the-art performance with a significantly smaller model size, demonstrating superior efficiency of the hierarchical conditioning in capturing crucial information as the history length increases.
Abstract:Data assimilation (DA) estimates the state of an evolving dynamical system from noisy, partial observations, and is widely used in scientific simulation as well as weather and climate science. In practice, filtering methods rely on frame-to-frame transition models. However, these models are fragile when observations are non-Markovian (when they form only a partial slice of a higher-dimensional latent state as in real-world weather data): they tend to accumulate errors over long horizons. At the same time, learned DA methods typically commit to a single regime, either filtering (nowcasting, real-time forecasting) or smoothing (retrospective reanalysis), which splits what should be a shared prior across application-specific pipelines. To address both issues, we introduce ForcingDAS, a unified and robust DA framework. Built on Diffusion Forcing with an independent noise level assigned to each frame, ForcingDAS learns a joint-trajectory prior instead of frame-to-frame transitions. This allows it to capture long-horizon temporal dependencies and reduce error accumulation. In addition, the same trained model spans the full filtering to smoothing spectrum at inference time. Specifically, nowcasting, fixed-lag smoothing, and batch reanalysis are selected through the inference schedule alone, without retraining. We evaluate ForcingDAS on 2D Navier-Stokes vorticity, precipitation nowcasting, and global atmospheric state estimation. Across all settings, a single model is competitive with or outperforms both learned and classical baselines that are specialized for individual regimes, with the largest gains observed on real-world weather benchmarks.
